| More About Me |
I'M BACK! So now what? Basically...here's the scoop...being a college student, and with this being finals week and all, I will be pretty busy, so if I do not rate you right away, don't worry, but I will be....checking in now and then.
|
1.} If you are going to add me...please have a decent conversation with me first! And I'm not meaning just "HI!" I'm meaning like an actual conversation!
2.} DON'T BE GROSS! I cannot stress this enough. Do not try to cyber with me or send me images that are of the violent nature. While some of you may like it...I do not! So don't do it! ICK!
3.} I try my best to make my profile presentable for all people. It has taken me a lot of time and hard work to put into this, so please...take the time to give me at least one small comment. I'm alright with stamping...just something like, "Hey, nice profile." Will also work too! Thank you very much!
4.} ENJOY YOUR STAY!

NAME: Tomisha Bennett {Yes...I'm serious.}
AGE: 19
SEXUALITY: Bisexual!
EDUCATION: Freshman In College.
MAJOR: Communications
MINOR: Art
INTERESTING FACTS: I am currently taking Japanese at my school. While I am excited to meet people who also take Japanese, it really irks me when someone speaks "Americanized Japanese." Something like, "That dress is so kawaii!" Really bugs me. So please don't do it. Something else you probably wouldn't know about me if I didn't tell you, is that I have very small feet. I don't know why you would be interested in hearing that, but yeah. While my feet are wide...causing me to wear a larger size than I normally would with feet my size, I wear a size 4. Cha! I KNOW!

Hey everyone! I guess this is where I talk about myself right? Okay...so...I'm a 19 year old college student with a lot of time on her hands. I'm rather lazy, but oh well right? I'm a fun loving individual who loves to have a good laugh. To sum me up, I would say that I am an artist, a poet, an author, a student, and an enlightened and down to earth individual. I won't do anything stupid with anyone. That means that I won't give out my information other than what I have told you, to anyone. I also don't do that disgusting cybering shit! That's just gross. There's no point in it. As I said before, I'm an artist. My style is anime, yes I know...pretty common, but it's what I do best. I love anime from the bottom of my heart. When it comes to music, I'm pretty picky. I won't listen to R&B, Rap {I find it convenient that the root word for CRAP is Rap} I apologize if I have offended anyone. I love music though, real music. Jazz is orgasmic sometimes. Rock is good to listen to when I'm angry or moody, or tired. It helps to wake me up. Techno is good for if I want to dance. And Classical for the geek in me. Yeah...that's right....I'm a geek. My favorite movie is the Lord of the Rings. LAWL! I find it was beautifully done. One of the best movies transcribed from a book that I have ever seen. Eragon would have to be my least favorite in that category. When the dwarves are the same size as the humans and the elves have rounded ears, you know something is up. I'm guessing that Poulini is pissed! Well...that's about all I have for you right now! I really don't like talking about myself...can't you tell? Anything else you would like to know about me would have to be found out by talking to me!

PROPHECY OF THE ELVES
Chapter 4: Gladiatorial Games
“Whoa!” Nartina looked through the arena doors. A massive crowd had gathered, filling every seat. Lords, peasants, everyone came! When the seats were empty, and all was quiet, the arena seemed huge, but now claustrophobia pulled at Nartina’s mind.
“It looks a lot different when it’s empty of onlookers, doesn’t it?” Rone had sneaked up behind her. His voice, right in her ear, brought her back to reality, yet started her. Nartina jumped and almost punched him in the face, stopping just before she hit his face. Rone only smiled and chuckled.
“Rone, you shouldn’t be here, you should go get ready,” she chastised.
“I don’t need to. I’m already ready,” he replied.
Nartina sighed and turned to face the crowd. She could barely hear over the din. “Scary.” She said, her voice barely audible over the noise.
“What?”
“I once thought this arena was miles long, now, it only looks a few meters short.”
“Everyone who lives to see days like this are amazed by the contrast,” Rone responded, “thousands have walked through those doors and died. Rogue, Kelmek, and I are the only ones out of our captured groups who still live. Lord Rackor saw, long ago, how powerful we each were, now we fight monsters. Some are twice my size, powerful, yet slow moving and dumb. And others are their size, yet quick and intelligent. He used to tell us who we were going to fight, but now he doesn’t. All you can do is believe you can and you will succeed.”
“Why doesn’t he tell us who we’re fighting anymore?” Nartina asked, turning to face him.
“Because, then the opponents would seek each other out and kill each other off in the effort to get out of fighting. No opponent, no need to fight in the arena.”
As Rone finished speaking, the announcements started on the loud speaker. The announcer was enthusiastic, getting his audience worked up. When he called her name Nartina took a deep breath.
“You’re up, now go out there and show them who you are. Don’t hold back for any reason. Remember, you hold more power than anyone else here save for Rogue. Just because you’re a woman, doesn’t mean you’ll lose. Use your power to it’s fullest extent, no matter what.”
Nartina closed her eyes, seeming to sigh. Rone saw the core power being pulled into her body. Her hair turned to a light blue, fading from root to tip, and when she opened her eyes, they were completely black. He backed away and smiled. At last, the gate opened and Nartina stepped through, out into the Arena and into the watchful gaze of the audience. She chuckled, knowning that this was going to be a show. She stood there as the crowed grew silent. The announcer introduced her opponent and his gate opened. He rushed out, broad sword in hand and Nartina took a relaxed stance and closed her eyes.
Fifty feet……………….forty feet………..thirty feet……………..twenty feet……..:Come on, just a little closer.: She thought to herself and smiled. “Bingo.” She said softly and brought her outstretched arms in front of her chest. Her hands glowed a light white and a ball of raw energy slammed into her opponents chest, sending him flying off his feet and back a few meters.
Nartina raised her arms high above her head. She hear the crowd gasp as she raised high into the air. As she left her place, she looked down at her other self, drawing yet another gasp from the crowd. “Is this possible?” came one call. “How can she be two places at once?” She heard another person say and smirked. Then they saw her trick.
Her opponent got to his feet with burns on his chest. He then picked up his sword and began to run towards Nartina’s mirage. Right as he reached the phantom, however, it dissipated and Nartina struck from above. The sword she cared was a blade connected to a chain inside the hilt, her favorite weapon because, with the simple push of a button, the sword was transformed into a bladed whip and her reach was extended ten fold. She whipped her chain sword about, sending a wave of air right at the man. The sound of his body crashing against the wall rang through the arena, leaving sound in its wake.
Nartina gently lowered herself to her feet. She then walked toward the man as he slid to the floor, his broad sword falling from limp fingers as he fell face first into the sand. As Nartina knelt to check his vitals, the man grabbed her arm and twisted her wrist. The entire crowd winced as the bone cracked and pierced the skin on her wrist. Nartina screamed in pain and heated her wrist, burning the man’s hand and causing him to yelp in pain and let go. Nartina panted as she looked down at the compound fracture. She grabbed hold of it with her other hand, and wincing, brought it back into place with a crack and a jerk. She then tore a piece of cloth from her sleeve, and wrapped it around her wrist to attempt to stop the bleeding. She needed a medic, and fast, but help wouldn’t arrive for her until the fight was over. Red tears flowed from her black eyes as she looked down at the man who was now bending to pick up his sword. With a growl, she mustered all her power and stretched her arms out towards him. The man squeaked and fell down, stiff as a board.
As he tried to resist her power, the man’s muscles shook and quivered, but she was too strong. She took a deep breath and raised her arms into the air, bringing him with. Higher and higher his body soared until he was nearly 200 feet above her head. Keeping one arm stretched high above her head, Nartina used the other to maneuver the man’s sword, positioning it right underneath his body with the blade facing upwards. She started to sweat as her strength began to gave out. Nartina continued to hold it, struggling more and more with each second it took for her to force the sword into a standing position in the sand. The man dropped a few inches before she regained her composure after a minor black out, and hung there, suspended until she had the sword red. Her eyes were now a pure white along with her hair and skin, a sheer sign that her power wouldn’t last for much longer. Just as her power gave out, the sword was in place, and the man began to fall. Nartina turned and, using all her strength to stand up, walked calmly out of the arena as the man fell.
§
Rone watched in amazement as Nartina’s power gave out and the man fell. There was no way he would survive that fall. His gaze fell on Nartina and he sighed, knowing she was only walking like that through her will not to look weak as she walked out. She wanted her pride. However, as she stepped into the gates, she looked up at him. Her white eyes rolled to the back of her head and she staggered and fell. Rone’s strong arms caught her as she fell. He picked her up just as the thud/shwing of the man’s body making contact with the earth and the sword rang through the arena. The crowd was silent, a fight like this was unexpected, especially the first one. No one expected a woman to be that powerful.
Rone carried her down the hallway, growing more worried by the second. Her skin was cold, and clammy, but underneath the heat of her fever grew more and more prominent with each step he took. He took her to Rogue and looked at the Linyo, pleading. He’d watched the fight, and knew the damage of the blood loss, and while Rogue didn’t very much care for Nartina himself, he knew it was the right thing to do. He nodded and Rone set the elf down in front of him.
It took a few hours to fully piece Nartina’s wrist back together, but the extent of the Linyo’s power was immense and he showed no signs of beginning to tire as he moved on to her fever. Rogue placed one hand on the elf’s forehead and took in a deep breath. He blew a cool wind into her face and pulled the fever out of her. As the fever left, her hair darkened a little. When he was done, Rogue looked over at Rone and nodded, “I cannot fully restore her power. Only she can, she needs to rest.” He said softly and stood up, then walked out of the hallway.
Rone nodded and picked her up. He walked back to the room where he normally prepared and lay her down on the soft cot. He then covered her with a blanket and sat down to wait for her to recover.

Looking at my own reflection

You've woken up the demon ... in me
Get up, come on get down with the sickness

Paganism has been around for many thousands of years. It goes to stand that Paganism as a whole, is the oldest religion category on the planet. Some people have defined paganism to be any religion that is not Christianity or Judaism. However, I believe paganism to be any religion that worships more than one deity. You may have a different view, but I don't really much care. As for my actual religion, I am Wiccan or Neo-pagan you might say. Wicca is not a chance to worship the devil.
Infact, many witches don't even believe in the devil. The Wicca religion is a religion that focuses on Balance. For there to be good, there must be evil, just as for there to be light, there must be darkness.
Wicca in and of itself, as I said before, focuses on balance. But even so, after you get past this one similarity, it is as diverse as they come. While one Wiccan/Witch may believe one thing, another Wiccan/Witch will believe another. What I believe is different than what someone else believes, and with Wicca, that is alright. It is a tolerable religion, and accepting of all people.
I must say, for those of you that actually read this, that I was raised a Christian. However, in my studies of various religions, I found that Wicca is more akin to my beliefs and how I view the world. As in every religion choice, Wicca is simply that...A CHOICE! I chose this!
No...I am not a lesbian. But I am Bisexual. That's one of my favorite things about my religion. It tolerates differences such as sexuality and race. Where as many Christians believe that to love or be attracted to an individual of the same gender as yourself is "oh so horrible" with Wicca, it is alright. People who practice Wicca often consider themselves witches. I do as well. As I said before, WITCHES DO NOT WORSHIP THE DEVIL!
We live by a certain set of rules. A slew of guidelines if you will.
As A Wiccan and also a Witch I have an Evocation I would like to share with you. Along with the Rede, I also follow with the Evocation of the Witch.
So...with that away, now that I've talked your ear off about my religion and my beliefs, I have one last thing to say to you.
|
As in with all religions, there are certain symbols that go with the Wiccan religion.
Ankh
The Ankh is the Ancient Egyptian symbol for eternal life.
Circle
The Circle holds many meanings and is common across the globe. It stands for the Woman, eternity, the cycle of life. "The circle is equidistant in all directions that pass through its center, and therefore focuses energy like a radar dish...right into the center. This is why the circle is a powerful symbol throughout the world."
Triple Goddess
The Triple Goddess stands for the three parts of the whole, the maiden, the mother and the crone. The Waxing Crescent stands for the Maiden, that is the youngest of the group who is waxing (go towards the whole). The full moon in the middle is the mother, and the Waning crescent is the Crone.
Faery star
In some beliefs of Wicca, faeries hold special meaning. While I myself do not follow this belief, I shall put this up for the sake of those that do, since it is a symbol of the religion. The Faery star is believed to attract those that are of the Fae, or Faery Creatures.
The Pentacle
The Pentacle, not to be confused with the Pentagram, is a five pointed star. The main symbolism of the Pentacle is nature. All over the place, you see it. A lot of flowers only have five petals, just as if you cut an apple it has five sections. It represents the elements and also the Wo/man.
the Pentagram
The Pentagram is a five pointed star in the middle of a circle. Each point has a specific meaning. Starting from the top and working clockwise the meanings are: Spirit, Air, Fire, Water, and Earth. Since the Pentagram combines both the circle and the Pentacle, it also symbolizes the union of the God and Goddess.
The Triangle
The Triangle is yet another thing that can symbolize the four elements. It is also the strongest of the geometric forms. A triangle cannot fall apart unless one of it's joints gives out.
The Seal of Solomon
The seal of Solomon is depicted by two triangles. One right side up, and one inverted on top of it. It is also called the star of David. It is used extensively in Quaballistic and Cerimonial Magick.
The Spiral
The spiral is symbolic of a snake, of the weaving of ones life. The spiral dance is a wonderful way to raise energy during ritual. You start in a circle, then one person breaks the circle, and leads the others into a spiral into the center of the circle, then turns at the center, and leads everyone back out again. The spiral is a symbol of life.
NOTE: All of the citings, that is, the letters that are in red like the common links, were taken directly from the source you will find them from if you just click on the red lettering. Anything else was found in these two places: Angel Fire or Puertas De Babel.
Along with the things that you have just red, Cats alos have a lot of meaning in my life. Cats and other Familiars have a huge meaning to me. For the Witch, however, the most common is the cat.
Holidays
Samhain marks the transition of the year into darkness. In the Celtic tradition, the year was divided into two parts, Light and Dark. Samhain, often celebrated on October 31st which is best known as Halloween, was a time of harvest for the people. For more information on Samhain, you can read HERE.
Yule is when the dark half of the year gives way to the lighter half of the year. The first night of Yule takes place on December 19th and ends on December 22. These are the longest nights of the year. After Yule ends, the nights get shorter and the days longer, thus marking the beginning of the lighter part of the year. For more information on Yule you can read HERE
Imbolic or Imbolc starts on February first. It celebrates the impending Spring and the lighter part of the year. For more information on Imbolic, read HERE.
Ostara takes place on March 21st. It marks the time of balance in our lives. Ostara is celebrated by coloring Eggs, as the sign of the Goddess Ostara was the rabbits and the eggs. Ostara is a time when we are trying to balance our lives and get ready for summer. To read more on Ostara, read HERE.
Summer Solstice, also known as Midsummer, is a time when the sun reaches it's fullest power. It is the longest day of the year. It It's also the prime time for Divinations. For more information on Summer Solstice you can read HERE. Just look for the portion where it talks about Neo-Paganism.
Lughnasadh starts on August 1st. It marks the first harvest of the year. In Ancient times, it was a time of Trial Marriages and Handfasting. To Learn more information on Lughnasadh, read HERE.
Mabon, pronounced like May-bon, is the time of the second harvest. It starts on September 22 and marks the transition of the starting to the year going into the darkness, along with it being the last grain harvest. To learn more on Mabon, read HERE.
